Cecilia Kwaofoa, an old woman, has cursed 27 year old Solomon Aryee for refusing her alms of 50 pesewas.
Solomon, has since developed serious ailments after which he has sent to numerous hospitals but to no avail.
The incident occurred at Adansi Obonsu in the Adansi South district of the Ashanti region.
Explaining his ordeal on Angel FM’s evening news, Mr. Aryee indicated, Madam Kwaofoa is a habitual beggar whom he has given money before. However, even though he had money on him that particular day, he refused her demand.
It was then, according to the young man that the old woman invoked a curse on him.

“She asked me to give her 50 pesewas to buy food to eat else I’ll pay more than GHC 500.00 if I don’t give her. Then I developed this serious stomach ache which makes my belly very hot and my waist has been burning severely. After all orthodox treatment proved futile, I sought spiritual intervention”, he said.
Aryee, consulted 105 year old Martha Obeng, the priestess at Christ Faith Church who revealed the source of his ailments to him.
When he visited the place, “the old told me I have a grudge with someone. I said no. Then she reminded me of the woman who cursed me for refusing her money”
Solomon Aryee says even though he doesn’t believe such allegations against the woman, his “parents confronted her and she accepted saying she made the pronouncements under the influence of alcohol and doesn’t even remember where and what she exactly said.”

He also averred the woman claims the gods who were nearby might have heard and held unto what she said.
The chiefs have since summoned the woman, poured libation and given her the 50 pesewas she requested as narrated by Aryee.
Notwithstanding the retraction of the curse, Solomon’s condition has persisted unabated according him.
