A strange casket has been found at Mentukwa, a village in the Sunyani West district of the Bono region.
The white casket has golden handles and white interior and a black dress inside.
According to reports followed keenly by Ghanasonline on Angel FM’s midday news, some women who were going to farm saw the casket and informed chief of Mentukwa, Nana Boasiako Antwi III.
The community elders went to the scene after the report to search the coffin, but found no body in the coffin.

They consulted spiritualists to ascertain the roots of the strange incident.
The elders conducted rituals for the coffin and set it ablaze.
Even though there were flames, the casket wasn’t burning when they set it on fire.
Another ritual was performed with “nyanya”, a local herb as suggested by one of the elders to get it burn.
The chief and elders have summoned whoever deposited the coffin to the gods of the land to deal with him/her for desecrating their soil.
According to the chiefs, even though the incidence is strange, there hasn’t been any reports of missing persons or mysterious deaths in the area.
