Chief Executive Officer and Director of Echoes Productions, Percy Eric Danso, has been nominated for the 2020 edition of the 40 Under 40 Awards.
This makes him one of the few persons to be nominated every year, except 2019, for the prestigious award since its inception in 2017.
Mr. Danso’s uniqueness in altering societal ills and giving hope to the hopeless with drama, interspersed with comedy through his company, Echoes Productions, many believe, have inspired several lives.
Aside preaching morality and violence-free elections through their “Class” series plays, Echoes Productions have been embarking on annual breast cancer campaigns with their emotional thrilling “Ayele”, where funds are raised in the process to support breast cancer patients.
The exception with which they tell ordinary stories, make them unique, earning them the accolade, memories worth repeating.
Echoes Productions, through their impressive performances have won other awards and gained recognitions aside winning the “Theatre and Arts” award at the 2018 edition of the 40 Under 40 awards.
They grabbed the “Theatre Company of the Year” at the Shine Awards same year and got nominated at the Ghana Start Up Awards in 2017.
The Forty under 40 Awards is to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nations most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age forty from a wide range of industries , who are committed to business growth, professional excellence and community service and have risen up the ranks of their companies or industries at a relatively young age.
Organisers of the awards believe putting the spotlight on these young achievers will not only celebrate them but also build a strong platform for them by giving a voice and opportunities to the next generation of industry pacesetters, whiles building a positive attitude in the youth to strive for excellence.
What the Awarding Board seeks is outstanding entrepreneurs, executives, managers and professionals in the public, private and non-profit sectors and recognise attributes such as achievements in business, experience and innovation, vision, leadership and community involvement.
The categories cover a wide range of sectors from banking and finance, energy, family business, agriculture, theatre and arts, journalism, fashion, law, sports, event management, health, technology and innovation amongst others.
The purpose is to recognise and celebrate 40 emerging leaders under the age of 40 who demonstrate or impact personally and or professionally through their exceptional leadership.
Voting is allowed from the public for their favourite nominees on all mobile networks with the code *447*4040# with votes ending on September 24.
This year’s event comes off on the 25th of September, 2020, at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
