Former NDC Chairman, 99 others defect to NPP

Immediate past National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency chairman for Awutu Senya West, Simon Duodu has defected to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with 99 other branch executives.

The 100 say the NPP have better policies as a political party compared to the NDC.

According to them, their former party, the NDC have no good policies for Ghanaians as the NPP have.

Speaking with the media, Mr. Duodu said the NDC have never implemented any social intervention policy to ease the unemployment burden on Ghanaians since independence, the reason he and his colleagues have switched camp.

The former NDC Chairman adds no party in Ghana can compare themselves with the NPP when it comes to job creation and social intervention that help the ordinary citizens.

He therefore charged Ghanaians to retain the NPP come December to perpetuate their good policies.

The other defectors also pleaded for Ghanaians to vote for the NPP in order for the NDC not to come and abate the good works begun by the Akufo-Addo administration.

Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West, Nenyi George Andah urged the defectors to work hard to retain the NPP in the constituency.

Also, he wants Awutu Senya West to become a stronghold for the NPP and prayed the people to come out in their numbers to endorse them on December 7.
