‘We must apologise to John Mahama if this governance is the reason we voted him out’ – Okatakyie Afrifa

Radio Presenter and social activist, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has said Ghanaians owe former president John Dramani Mahama an apology.

Ghanaians indebtedness of apology to the ex president according to Mr. Afrifa Mensah is due to how the Akufo-Addo led government is steering affairs of the state.

As a New Patriotic Party (NPP) member who campaigned and did advertisements for then candidate Akufo-Addo, he says the current economic conditions which is a by-product of the NPP administration is a disappointment and an indictment on the trust they had in Akufo-Addo to give him their support.

“We must apologise to John Mahama if this governance is the reason we voted him out,” he expressed.

As a leading member of the upcoming #FixTheCountry protest, the “Abranaa so” host on TV XYZ has also admonished government communicators to stop saying proponents of the #FixTheCountry demonstration have been induced to do so.

He opined the leadership have stolen from the citizenry over the years and it was time they were told the truth to rewrite their leadership scripts.

“You’ve stolen from the people over the years and when we say it, you say they’ve taken money to do so. They say Captain Smart and I have taken money and Avram is not wise and following us”

“If it was money I wanted, I wouldn’t have followed Nana Addo when John Mahama was sharing cars”

“And Captain Smart has always been saying, that if any politician has ever given him anything, he should come out and say it. We can’t be taking monies at the detriment of others.”

“The other time Ken Agyapong was saying Captain owes him. Assuming that is even true, do you think Ken would have kept quiet if Captain had taken money from him or anyone?,” he indicated on “Onua Maakye” with Captain Smart Monday, August 2, 2021, whilst Ghanasonline.com monitored.

The FixTheCountry demonstration is scheduled to take place Wednesday, August 4, 2021, which is a public holiday, beginning from the Obra Spot at Nkrumah Circle and end at the Independence Square at the early hours of the day.
