JOY dares Bawumia for Veep debate
Jacob Osei Yeboah (JOY), Running Mate of Independent Presidential candidate, Kwame Asiedu Walker has said Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia cannot match him in a debate.
The two time Independent Presidential Candidate says Bawumia knows his worth and cannot match him on any platform in espousing their prowess on better economic management.
There have been calls for debates between candidates of the incumbent and opposition parties, especially the National Democratic Congress, which the ruling New Patriotic Party have declined, both between the presidential candidates and running mates.
But Mr. Osei Yeboah says he is ever ready to debate the Vice President but knows he will not dare take the step.
JOY, as he’s known by many, was speaking with Angel FM’s Kofi Adomah Nwanwani on their Election Eye, alongside his flagbearer, Mr. Walker, and closely monitored by Ghanas Online.
Commenting on why he demoted himself as a candidate to vice someone, he said they posses a similar vision and their union will propel the nation to higher heights.
Speaking on the show, the Independent Presidential candidate, Mr. Walker said Ghanaians are tired of the NPP and NDC and it’s time to rebuild the nation with a new face.
He said the State’s natural resources have been depleted without any benefit for the citizens, and it’s high time the youth are given the opportunity to decide their future.
Mr. Walker added his government, when voted to power, will re-engineer the State Construction Company (SCC) and Public Works Department (PWD) to rekindle the maintenance culture of state resources, and train people with skills to contribute their quota to the nation’s development.
