Nana Konadu clears the air about her candidacy on election 2020
The National Democratic Party (NDP) says its flagbearer, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings has not pulled out of the upcoming presidential elections.
At a press conference on Monday, November 23, 2020, the General Secretary of NDP, Alhaji Mohammed Frimpong said the flagbearer has also not initiated any discussions with the Electoral Commission over a possible withdrawal from the race as being speculated.
“This is fake news and it should be regarded as such. Our leader has not given any information to that effect,” Alhaji Frimpong said.
An earlier report given by this portal, sourcing Starrfm.com.gh indicated Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings had withdrawn from the race due to the death of her husband, former President Jerry John Rawlings.
A call placed on the desk of Starr FM confirmed the news but the party dismissed the claims, which it attributed to its detractors.
