Two die after two “occult groups” clash at Buduburam

Two people believed to be Nigerians have been stabbed to death in a cutlass fight between two factions at Gomoa Buduburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

According to Adom News’ Central Regional Correspondent, Seth Ankomah Adjei, who was closely monitored by Ghanasonline.com on their evening bulletin, the clash was between two suspected Nigerian occult groups.

The two groups were said to be exhibiting their prowess on who can charm their clients to give them more money in their cyber fraud activities.

Reports further indicate the mayhem was engineered by the death of 27 year old Nigerian, Precious Watta Billions, who was shot and killed by some police officers two weeks ago.

The two groups, where late Precious is a member of one, engaged in a knife battle that claimed two lives with two others in a critical condition at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.

Chiefs call on government

Chief of Gomoa Buduburam, Nana Kojo Essel II told Seth Adjei “the first person was killed at Golden Gate while the second person was killed at Camp inside.”

Nana Essel added “we are living in fear due to increased criminal activities at Buduburam township.”

According to the chief, they can’t sleep because they’re afraid of their lives.

He disclosed this during a call by the Omanhene of Gomoa Akyem Traditional Council, Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea II, at Buduburam.

Meanwhile, Obenefo Ahenako Ankobea says the best thing that’ll help would be to get military base at the area to beef up the police.

The military aiding the voter registration exercise had to intervene to curb the recent mayhem.

He has also asked government to close down the refugee camp which he believes is the cause of the instability in the area.

According Seth Adjei, the Buduburam police have refused to comment on the issue for now.
