Man impregnates 16 year old daughter at Amenfi
A 35-year-old man, Kofi Adu, has impregnated his 16 year old daughter at Wassa Abrehyia in the Amenfi East district of the Western region.
According to wife of the man who has divorced the man due to the incident, she suspected the daughter was pregnant and asked who was responsible.
The 16 year old mentioned her father as the one responsible, saying he sneaks to her room to have sex with her every night.
According to report by Kasapreko Nana Ackaah on Angel FM, monitored by Ghanasonline, the man said “whenever my daughter is applying pomade after taking her bath, I get aroused the moment she places her leg on a stool or something to apply to her legs”,

The divorced wife reported the incident to the chiefs of the town who summoned the culprits to perform rituals to pacify the land.
The man was shaved as well as the daughter, for consenting for such taboo to be perpetrated.
The man was charged three sheep, a bottle of schnapp and ashes.
Rituals performed
The sheep was tied on the man’s shoulder and brought down three times.
Some concoction was mixed with water in a tray, carried by the young girl.
The father followed and sprinkled the substance throughout the town three times.
The chiefs poured libation afterwards, asking the gods to protect the four month old baby till it is delivered.
Some residents who spoke with Angel FM said the ritual was necessary to cleanse the young girl of any future curses.
“It is good they performed the rites because that will make any spirit upholding the issue release it”, a lady said.
“It is possible the girl may not conceive again so the rites will protect her from all filth and curses so that she can bear again”, another woman said.
