Hunter shoots another hunter to death for mistaken identity

A 30-year-old hunter, Yaw Mensah has shot another hunter, Kofi Kru, to death at Ajumako Besease in the Central region.
According to a report on Angel FM monitored by Ghanasonline, both are farmers who went for hunting last night.
Yaw said he saw something moving in the bush and thought it was an antelope.
But when he fired and got to the scene, he saw Kwaku lying dead on the ground.
Wife of the deceased, Adwoa, who is 9 months pregnant said the husband told her he was going for hunting to send their sick baby to hospital.
But after few hours, death of the husband was reported.

“We received report that someone has been hit by a gun and when we went to check, it was my husband”, the wife sorrowfully narrated.
A younger sister of the deceased’s mother said she was called at 5 am and told how the incident was reported.
“We were told they brought him at 11pm but couldn’t identify him. So it was early this morning that the police brought him for one young man in our house to identify him”, she said.
The suspect, Yaw Mensah is currently at the Ajumako Besease police station aiding investigations.
Kofi Kru left behind three children and a 9-month old pregnant wife.
