CPP Women’s Organiser forgets flagbearer’s name on live radio

It took the Okai Koi North constituency Women’s Organiser of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) over five minutes to recall the name of her flagbearer on live radio.

Elisabeth Ampomah was out of her thoughts when she was asked whom her party’s flagbearer was.

Speaking on Angel FM’s Election Eye with Kofi Adomah Nwanwani, keenly monitored by Ghanas Online, Mrs. Ampomah pleaded with the public to pardon her forgetfulness since she has low educational background.

She was, however, able to describe Ivor Greenstreet perfectly, but, found it difficult recollecting his name.

Madam Ampomah, nonetheless, implored Ghanaians to vote for the CPP to restore the good things Dr. Kwame Nkrumah started.

She said many of the policies the NPP are implementing were initiates by Dr. Nkrumah, including the flagship Free SHS.

‘Sankɔfa’ as the Akans say, is not forbidden according to the CPP Women’s Organiser, and urged Ghanaians to go back for the CPP.

Meanwhile, Rosemond Addae, who leads the Women’s wing of the NPP at the Anyaa Sowutuom constituency highlighted on the achievements of the Akufo-Addo led administration and asked Ghanaians to retain them.

She said soft loans given to women to expand their businesses by the NPP government is laudable. Mrs. Addae said women empowerment initiatives, coupled with the Free SHS have also helped women.

Mrs. Addae advised party faithfuls in the Anyaa Sowutuom constituency who are contemplating on a skirt and blouse voting to desist from that for peace to prevail.
