Policeman arrested for stealing coins from a bank
Enyan Denkyira Rural bank has reported a theft case involving a police officer to the Mankessim Divisional Police Command in the Central region.
The bank has suspected one Seargeant George Amankwaah of stealing an amount of GHC690.00 from the bank.
According to Central Regional Police PRO, DSP Irene Oppong, the amount involved was all coins.
She spoke on Angel FM evening news on Friday, November 27, which was followed by Ghanas Online.

She explained the incident occurred on 20th November when the officer was stationed to provide security at the said bank.
DSP Oppong continued the case has been transferred from the Mankessim divisional command to the Central Regional headquarters.
Inspector General of Police (IGP), James Oppong-Boanuh according to DSP Oppong has suspended Sgt. Amankwaah pending investigations on the matter.
The Central Regional Command is appealing to the public to provide any support they can offer to aid the investigations.
