“I’m 11 years older than him but he’s 11 times richer than me” – Ken Agyapong hails Jospong

The Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has hailed the Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies, Joseph Siaw Agyepong, for his entrepreneurial exploits.

The vociferous legislator said himself and Mr. Siaw Agyepong have uplifted the image of Assin, where they both hail from.

Speaking on Adwenekasa, Akuafo TV’s morning show with Kwaku Owusu Adjei, closely monitored by Ghanasonline.com, Mr. Agyepong said Jospong is a “smart, intelligent, focused and visionary” man who should be emulated by many to make financial fortunes.

He indicated the Central Region was hitherto the fourth poorest region in the country, with the Assin people following the Gomoas as the poorest in the region. But with himself and Jospong, they’re gradually lifting the image of the Assins.

“Do you know where Dr. Siaw Agyepong comes from? His father is a Kwahu and the mother is from Assin Amoabin. Initially we the Assin people were not regarded but look at how he [Jospong] saw opportunities and utilised them. Now I’m 11 years older than him but he’s 11 times richer than me,” he narrated.

Mr. Agyapong advised the youth to utilise opportunities and “smell money” — identify areas that can fetch them money and use to build wealth.

“If you’re a worker of Dr. Agyepong, you ask yourself what he did right, follow his steps and ask yourself how you can also be you but not thinking of becoming him,” he advised.
