Stop the ‘Spiritual Stupidity’ being exhibited in some churches – Captain Smart fumes at Christian leaders
Angel FM’s Morning Show host, Blessed Godsbrain Smart has described as “Spiritual stupidity”, certain acts being displayed by some men of God in their churches.
Speaking after the news bulletin on the Morning Show, being monitored by Ghanasonline.com, he noted “many pastors are creating crises instead of preaching Christ.”
Mr. Smart was commenting on some viral videos on social media displaying how some men of God have been treating their congregants in church.
Amongst the videos shown on their TV channel and social media platform were a congregation with machetes and AK47 riffles butchering the devil in their church auditorium. This he said “the devil cannot be devoured physically [and] doesn’t make sense.”
Captain Smart also indicated the hometown of the notorious Chinese actor, Jet Li, wouldn’t have had problems if the devil could be destroyed with karate as it was being done in a second video he talked about.
“If karate could kill the devil, would there be problem in Jet Li’s hometown?,” he asked.
Let alone, there was another where a pastor had laid his congregants on the floor, canning them with the conviction that, the evil spirit wants to enter them through their buttocks.
Another was washing his face and feet on the members head whilst a young lady received blows and a leg kick from her pastor which eventually made her collapse on the floor, all in the name of defeating the devil.
Expressing his displeasure on these acts, he noted “if you walk to church and your pastor makes a video displaying his 13 vehicles and you still attend such a church, you’re stupid.”
He called on some renowned men of God and leaders of some big churches in Ghana to wake up and act.
“The Apostle Nyamekyes – my Chairman, Otabils, Duncan Williams, Assemblies of God leaders, Methodist, Catholic Bishops Conference, Apostle Opoku Onyinah, my past Chairman and others sit aloof and quote “let it all grow together” and that’s not what that scripture means. It didn’t say allow the stupidity to flourish.”
“God is there, we all serve him and must do it appropriately. I am Christian and a fully fletched member of the Church of Pentecost so nobody should think I’m undermining Christianity but the truth must be told,” he added.
“You’ve bought witchcraft cream yet the witches are still haunting you, destiny soap and you’re still suffering. This is absolute foolishness and I won’t mince words. These pastors are doing business so let’s wise up.The earlier we fight this nonsense the better for us,” Captain Smart further fumed.
The Church of Pentecost Elder added that instead of pastors asking church members to go and work, they’ll keep them in church and be making all sort of noise throughout the day in the name of prayers, the reason “prayer warriors are the category of Christians endowed with the highest degree of poverty amongst Christians.
He also called on the government to set regulations for the churches to instill sanity in the system as some countries have done.
“Magufuli collapsed over 300 churches in Uganda before he died. Kagame is still collapsing churches and Mosques in Rwanda if you don’t comply with the rules”
“Today people are making all sort of noise in the market and in the end, they’ll tell the market women to give offering after making low sales.”
