‘You’re cowards in uniform’ – Captain Smart fumes at Military leaders

The inundation of political party vigilantes in the security services according to Captain Smart is the cause of recent brutalities being meted out to citizens by some members of the security forces.

Leadership of the military, he claims are not oblivious of the practice, the reason for which Captain Smart has described them as “cowards in uniform” who have failed to counter the politicians on the unhealthy development.

He alleges the notice served the public for the recruitment of officers into the security services – especially police and military –are mere camouflaged since protocol list from politicians make up the required numbers.

“They will announce that they are recruiting people but they know that those people have already been selected through protocol. I didn’t know the military leaders are coward in uniform. Because of politics, you’ve all become women and you can’t talk,” Captain Smart alleged.

With the recent disturbances and the military’s response at Ejura in perspective, Mr. Smart averred the posture of some of the officers exposed their unprofessionalism, clearly showing they’re part of the vigilante boys recruited from the parties.

He indicated the military leadership are aware and cannot speak up, but have to comply with the deceptive recruitment process.

“Looking at how some of them were holding the guns [at Ejura], I knew they weren’t professional military but vigilantes in uniform. Senior military officers are aware of vigilante men sent to them to become officers and they’re quiet,” he alleged.

Reiterating an earlier allegation made about each of the parties having some numbers of their vigilante groups in the police and military, he intimated “the NPP and NDC are competing on numbers in the security agencies. If you bring the NDC today, they’ll also push the Hawks into the agencies.”

His quest to keep talking he noted, is based on the fact that “we are heading from destruction to disaster and we are just 10% away”, adding he will never disappoint the Ghanaian youth by stopping the crusade he has began.
