‘Pray for me to succeed’ – Akufo-Addo pleads Ghanaians

President of the Republic, Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has appealed to Ghanaians to include him when they’re petitioning their Maker with their needs.

He was speaking with congregants of the Asokwa Church of Pentecost, Mckeown Temple, asking them to offer him a special prayer during church services.

Akufo-Addo requested the audience to pray for him to have confidence and a good heart so that he can lead the country.

Addressing the auditorium Sunday, October 3, 2021, he lauded a former Chairman of the church, Apostle Prof. Kwadwo Nimfour Opoku Onyinah, for his selfless role in seeking to the execution of the National Cathedral project.

As Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the project, President Akufo-Addo said Apostle Onyinah’s works will edify the achievements chalked by his administration.

“Because of Opoku Onyina, the National Cathedral would be built to honour me,” he told the church members.

He presented a cash of Gh¢20,000 to the Church as an offering.
