Two police officers impregnate 30-year-old "prostitute"

Two police officers from the Tesano Police Command have allegedly impregnated a 30-year-old prostitute in Accra.

According to the lady, she was arrested with other commercial sex workers at Lapaz, a suburb of Accra during one of the police night patrols.

Upon getting to their office, they asked her to pay GHC 1,000.00 before they release her which she said she couldn’t afford.

“When they asked me to pay the GHC 1,000.00, I told them I don’t have because all the money I had was GHC 18.00”

“And since I couldn’t get, they decided to make me pay in kind and at that moment, I knew they were going to have sex with me”, she recounted on Angel FM’s evening news on Monday, July 20, 2020.

She further narrated the second officer to sleep with her was responsible for her pregnancy and subsequently the father of her baby.

“The first one could not ejaculate because his manhood was too big to penetrate me.”

“The second one was able to penetrate me due to his smaller penis size and ejaculated in me and the baby even resembles him,” she disclosed.

The lady adds she is ready to identify the two police officers who slept with her and can point out the room they sent her to at the Tesano Police station.

Meanwhile, a Human Rights activist, Ernest Akosah speaking on the issue called on the family of the victim to take the matter on.

He said “everyone has a right irrespective of who she is and what she does and the police would have to prove whether the lady was doing prostitution or not.”

“And even if she was truly doing prostitution, she should have been arraigned for court instead of trading her for sex,” he stated.

Mr. Akosah added the police has no right to determine a fine for her if she was indeed guilty of prostitution but rather a competent court of jurisdiction.
