NPP, NDC trade blows at NDC officer’s burial service

The burial service of the NDC’s Deputy Bono East Regional Youth Organiser, Kojo Nsiah wax briefly disrupted when a scuffle broke out between some supporters of the party and members of the New Patriotic Party at the funeral grounds.

The funeral service, which was being held at the Kintampo Presby Park, took an unexpected turn after an announcement was made that the NPP would like to have their pallbearers transport the body.

The NPP explained that although Mr. Nsiah was an NDC, he had relatives in the NPP and the gesture would go a long way to confirm the good relationship between the two parties.

But the news was met with fierce resistance from the NDC.

Sources say the Seventh Day Adventist Scout Group then tried to intervene to take over the transport of the body so peace prevails, but the NDC rejected that too.
