NPP hopeful of reclaiming lost seats in Western Region come 2024

The Western Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has given hope to its followers of reverting to its glory days in the 2024 general elections.

Regional Chairman of the party, Ndede Siah, noted the party will mass up their efforts to reclaim all four seats lost to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He explained that the NPP has rectified the problems that led to the losing of the seats to the NDC in the region, and they’re optimistic in taking back those constituencies.

Even though the fight against galamsey was also a factor to the party’s defeat according to Mr. Siah, he reiterated the government’s commitment to fight the menace regardless.

He said the halting of galamsey activities is the reason community mining has been introduced to curb any grudges the indigenes would hold against the government and the party’s activities pending the next the elections.

Mr. Siah took the opportunity and called on all NPP faithfuls in the region to work hard to ensure the party comes to power in 2024.

The Chairman made these remarks during the Tarkwa Nsuaem Counstituency NPP Delegates Conference on the theme ‘Breaking the Eight Years’.
