‘Kufuor, I told you I’ll say it one day and can’t hold it anymore’ – Captain Smart

Former President of the Republic, “John Agyekum Kufuor, is now an enemy to this government.” Captain Smart has alleged.

The controversial presenter has mentioned some bigwigs in the current administration scheming against the former president, including President Akufo-Addo himself.

He says whoever is found closer to J.A Kufuor is discarded from the corridors of power since the former president is no more accorded the repute he deserves from those at the hem of power.

His comment stemmed from a certain “big man” he sought to protect from antagonism whilst speaking on the introduction of e-levy and abolishment of the road tolls.

“…the Roads Minister, including all other ministers does not pay for fuel, toll, maintenance, his driver, cook and virtually everything yet he is causing financial loss to the state by ceasing toll collection without Parliamentary approval and I know what I’m saying because I took one big man’s car some time ago, I won’t mention his name for you to tag him because now in the NPP, even J. A Kufuor is an enemy,” he disclosed Monday, November 22, 2021 on Onua TV/FM’s ‘Maakye’.

He alleged further that some Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executive’s names were expunged from the original list because of their supposed affiliation to the former president.

“Yes, J.A Kufuor is now an enemy in this government. Did you know some DCEs were changed from the list just because they went to greet Kufuor?

“J.A, I told you one day I’ll say it and I’ve said it today. The moment they see you closer to Kufuor, then Gabby Otchere-Darko, Asante Bediatuo, Akufo-Addo and Ofori-Atta will tag you as not being part of the party. The former leader of the party is now an enemy,” he alleged.

He bemoaned what he calls a family congregation that has hijacked the NPP and leading the party into eternal doom.

“People call them ‘Akyem Mafia’ but to me, they’re just a congregation from a very small town ruling Ghana. It’s not the whole Akyem people but just that family,” Captain Smart has once referred.
